Biography

Karl Daubigny, the son of Charles François, also embraced the career of a painter. He worked out from a simple studio, purchased by his father. It communicated through a small courtyard. In his painting, we could see a much more realistic style. Karl tries to place himself in relation with his father’ s style. Born in a family of artists, he represents the third generation of painter. His grandfather had been previously painter decorator, and student of Bertin, a master of Corot. Karl will mainly focus on classical landscapes.
