Artist bio
Sézille des Essarts (Auguste Frédéric Pierre) painter born in Noyon on March 12, 1867. A student of Messrs. Bourgeois and Gervex, Mr. des Essarts became known through a number of genre paintings, studies, etc., exhibited at the Society of French Artists. It is worth mentioning in particular his submission of 1898: "Coquetterie de modèle", which drew attention to this artist and which an authorized critic, Mr. Roger Milès, described in l'Eclair as follows:
"Coquetterie de modèle" is a young woman a little rosy, graceful and slender, very Parisian, who admires herself in a mirror and whom we enjoy in all her aspects.
